Eloise Salmon MD is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Pediatric Nephrology at University of Michigan Medical School. Patient experience and resource utilization in both chronic kidney disease and renal replacement therapies (hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and kidney transplant) are areas of interest. Dr. Salmon is principal investigator for (1) “Preparing a clinical outcomes assessment set for nephrotic syndrome” (Prepare-NS) [UG3FD007308], an initiative funded by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to develop and validate publicly available clinical outcome assessments of fluid overload fit for drug development in nephrotic syndrome and (2) “Recurrence post-transplant observational study in FSGS and Minimal Change Disease” (RESOLVE) [NCT05650619], a multicenter, observational cohort study designed to examine the post-transplant course of patients with FSGS and MCD across the lifespan where data collection includes biospecimens, participant self-report, and electronic health record data. She also has roles in Nephrotic Syndrome Study Network (NEPTUNE) and Kidney Research Network (KRN). In addition, Dr. Salmon serves as the fellowship director for the pediatric nephrology fellowship program at University of Michigan and is a member of the kidney committee of Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN). She completed her residency and fellowship training at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
