Amanda Deford, MD is a third year Neonatal-Perinatal fellow at Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana. She attended medical school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed Pediatrics residency at Cincinnati Children's. Following fellowship, she plans to continue as Neonatology faculty at Indiana University. Dr. Deford's research interests are mainly related to the field of NeuroNICU, with special focus on identifying ways to improve neurodevelopmental outcomes for at-risk neonates. Her fellowship project is focused on the implementation of a novel tool to detect increased risk for cortical visual impairment among infants admitted to a level IV NICU.
