Dr. Kaung Myat is currently a third-year neonatology fellow at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals. Originally from Myanmar, he earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine 2, Yangon. He completed his pediatric residency training at One Brooklyn Health System - Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where he developed a strong interest in neonatal critical care.
Dr. Myat's clinical and research interests focus on adnavced modes of respiratory support in the NICU, particularly neurally adjusted ventilatory assist (NAVA) in premature infants. His work demonstrates a deep commitment to optimizing outcomes for the most vulnerable neonatal populations through evidence-based care and innovation in respiratory support.
