Dr. Wren (MD, PhD) is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Iowa practicing in Neonatology, Neonatal Hemodynamics, and ECMO. He completed medical and graduate school at Wake Forest School of Medicine, residency in Pediatrics at St. Louis Children's Hospital, and a fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at Washington University in St. Louis. He then completed an additional fellowship in Neonatal Hemodynamics and Targeted Neonatal Echocardiography at the University of Iowa. His research interests include investigating the the role of inflammatory mediators in the pathogenesis of a hemodynamically significant PDA as well as the identification of hemodynamic phenotypes and its impact on precision-directed care for infants with congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH).
