MRSA Colonizations vs. Reservoir. MRSA positives decreased in parallel with a decline in reservoir cases, reaching near-zero by early 2025, with a modest rebound in summer 2025.
Outcomes of MRSA Decolonization in the NICU (Oct 2024 - Sept 2025). Among colonized infants undergoing MRSA decolonization, 36% were successfully cleared, 43% experienced recurrence at some point, 7% persisted despite therapy, and 14% had unknown outcomes (discharged prior to further testing). These findings highlight both the effectiveness of the decolonization protocol and the need for continued surveillance to reduce recurrence.
