The unilateral unsegmented bar and unsegmented bar with contralateral hemivertebra were associated with the greatest risk of progression overtime, whereas incarcerated and block vertebra were associated with the least.
The results show that deformity type is significantly associated with different rates of progression depending on baseline curve size.
